Nominated for an Emmy for the News Documentary Fire Mountain, graphics and animation covering the eruption of Mount St. Helens: KATU Portland.

1981
As KWGN Art Director, worked with
Walter Landor & Assoc. to create the
KWGN TV2 logo
(Landor's first TV identity design)

1981
As Art Director, worked with Bo Gehring Assoc. creating an independent
on air animation package that rivaled network standards:
The first computer generated animation for television of its kind

KWGN Denver.

1982
Changed the face of independent television graphics
by introducing new design ideas and standards: KWGN Denver.

1983
Produced and Directed the "first ever" animation (computer) to be used as
evidence in a court of law
:
City of Louisville, Kentucky vs. Purina Foods.
Graphic Evidence, Los Angeles producers.


Worked for Saul Bass,
Bass Yager Assoc., Los Angeles,
on the 1983 AT&T Store identity change.

1984
Invented the process, created a product line
COLORMIST
and marketed the application of
airbrushing fingernail color
: 1983-89.

1990
Applied all former analog creative knowledge and experience to several computer applications, with extensive developmental education in Adobe Photoshop v1.0 and
(at that time) Aldus Freehand.

1991
Studio Equinox was established in
Northridge, California
with full service
capability: Photography, Illustration & Design.


1994
Northridge earthquake: We moved.

1995
Focused on digital photography and image control, prepress and quality maintenance
of high end digital images. Introduced
High End Digital Photography
as the
studio's primary photographic resource.
The system purchased was the Leaf DCB-II,
the highest standard, or state-of-the-art,
digital camera available. Images captured
were enlarged as much as 60x60 inch at 300dpi...
but people still doubted its capabilities.
1996-98
Educator for Advanced Digital Imaging at the
Academy of Art College, San Francisco:
Graduating students in the computer division

Guest Speaker and Seminar Instructor for
Los Angeles Macintosh Group, Los Angeles Mac Fair,
Misc Photography Organizations in California.
Combined forces with Leaf Digital Division, and several
co-sponsors for a first of its kind:
Presentations in Digital Photography and Digital Imaging.

Remember, this is 1996 through 1998

1998
Moved the studio to San Diego
and focused on Photography.
Design continued and was the prime
element in over 30 music CD packages
in two years: BMG, EMI Capitol, Hipo
Records, UTV Music, Universal Music,
and many more.

2000
Since 1978 a recipient of over 3 dozen
awards in design, illustration, advertising and photography. An overachiever with a serious passion for the quality standard that the new digital technology produces:

Canon on location - and - exclusively with Hensel Lighting,
quality has never been better. The finest color and lighting consistency
achievable and engineered through German brilliance to a
higher performance standard. The work has never been this good.
